Ridin’ High

1位 185 votes Sakura Kyouko @ Puella Magi Madoka Magica
2位 125 votes Okita Sawa @ Tari Tari

With a healthy representation of 4 contestants in the Final 16, the Madoka faction would want to build on that and they’ve done so by sending Kyouko to the quarter-finals. The victory was never in any doubt, considering that Sawa was probably one of the easiest opponents the Madoka faction could face in this round.

Block Finalists 1-0 Repechage Winners

Preview:

Hasegawa Kobato
Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko

One of the more interesting battles for the round sees Block E winner Kobato up against Tsukiko. Kobato emerged victorious in probably the easiest block out of the eight, but take nothing away from her performances – she has been consistent enough to get to where she is now. Tsukiko has gone through a tougher and longer route, losing out to Kuroneko before making her return in style by vanquishing Yozora and last year’s champion Toki. Initially regarded as one of two newcomers (the other being Rikka) who would make huge strides in this year’s tournament, only Tsukiko remains, and this is her chance to live up to those early expectations by qualifying for the quarter-finals. Kobato hasn’t really been tested yet, and with Tsukiko recording a decent win over Yozora during the repechage round, she might very well take down another Haganai girl down here. The Madoka faction might see Tsukiko as the greater threat to Kyouko though, but they’re probably feeling confident enough not to engage in tactical voting.

    …. :-/ Ok

And on a completely unrelated note, I felt like procrastinating and read Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Mari volume 1, only to end up reading all 6 volumes. Felt like throwing myself off a bridge afterwards.

Had to pick up Non Non Biyori anime as an emergency countermeasure.
