3rd 49 (10.17%) Kurusu Kanako @ Ore No Imouto Ga Konna Ni Kawaii Wake Ga Nai

No surprises again as the winners for today breezed through to the next round. Shizu’s done pretty good here considering the generally low vote counts in Block E. She now faces Himawari and Honoka in the next round – a match between Yuru Yuri and Saki characters is always an exciting prospect to look out for.

On to Block F then, where there will be some fatality going on, especially the day after the following set of matches:

Preview
Takatsuki Yayoi
Sakurano Kurimu
Takanashi Hina

On paper, Kurimu looks the favorite here as she’s the only one who managed to qualify directly via the first prelim round. However, I’m leaning to Yayoi because of how Seizon barely scrapped their representatives through to the main round, and the fact that im@s is the stronger series as of present.

Okita Sawa
Yoshinoya
Takei Hisa

This battle will be a toss-up between Sawa and last year’s semi-finalist Hisa. Sawa, while not in the championship tier, is one of the stronger debutantes in this year’s tournament and as such Hisa would have to work hard to overcome the hurdle here. Contestants from the original Saki series haven’t been performing well, with the likes of Tacos and Koromo crashing out and Saki and Mihoko barely making it to the second round, so signs are not good for Hisa.

Hiiragi Tsukasa
Mikasa Ackerman
Aizawa Sakuya

Mikasa to win this one without breaking a sweat. For the veterans, grabbing the win here will be a task too colossal for them.

Nyaruko
Takenaka Hanbei
Shirouzu Mairu

This is one tricky match for Nyaruko to navigate through, with Saki combo voting for Hisa & Mairu and Hanbei being Nobuna’s ace. That said, she should still have enough tricks up her sleeve to counter her threats here.
