Ayase, Nobuna, Kirame, Kuro and Kumin advance to Round Two.

1位 203 [48.10%] Aragaki Ayase (Oreimo)
2位 93 [22.04%] Akaza Akane (Yuru Yuri♪♪)
3位 73 [17.30%] Aikawa Chiho (Yuyushiki)
4位 53 [12.56%] Nene (Oda Nobuna no Yabou)

1位 166 [38.34%] Oda Nobuna (Oda Nobuna no Yabou)
1位 166 [38.34%] Hanada Kirame (Saki: Achiga-hen)
3位 101 [23.33%] Isshiki Akane (Vividred Operation)

1位 226 [51.13%] Matsumi Kuro (Saki: Achiga-hen)
2位 203 [45.93%] Buratei Marii (Joshiraku)
3位 13 [2.94%] Nijou Izumi (Saki: Achiga-hen)

1位 177 [44.03%] Tsuyuri Kumin (Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!)
2位 167 [41.54%] Kuroki Rei (Vividred Operation)
3位 58 [14.43%] Shiina Mayuri (Steins;Gate)

Saimoe keeps finding a way to make things interesting one match day at a time. This time we were treated to a first place tie.

Sure, we are no strangers to Round One ties, but it is still a special feeling whenever it happens. Especially, when it’s tied even in the final hour. This has to be occult. What a match. In any case, someone’s Saimoe campaign is extended for a little while, and it may even be enough to impact the match for the following round.

Kirame and Nobuna will get to duke it out anew in a month, but this time the former will lose the potential boost that the Saki combo vote might be able to provide. Perhaps, the battle between these two is meant to be Second Round material.

The Kuro-Marii match continues yesterday’s trend. Another close call for a Saki ace. One has to wonder for how long will they able to dodge these upset tries, especially in this powerful block, which we are about to see more of in a few.

Another good one was Kumin-Rei. I may have avoided having to eat crow for this one, as the Chuunibyou support character managed to endure a last hour rush. It really is an unfortunate day for Vividred fans as the Akane-Rei DOCKINGU just didn’t work out.

Closing out Block B Day One is Ayase’s win that was akin to that of Yozora the day before. Another prelim winner eases on to Round Two.

Quite a warm-up that day one was. It gets even better.

Akemi Homura (Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica)
Shikinami Asuka Langley (Evangelion: 3.0 Q)
Takamachi Nanoha (Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha)

This must be Saimoe magic, but we finally got to one of the most hyped matches in Round One.

Never underestimate the heart of a champion, so they say. As we have seen with Fate’s resolute win, the White Devil is not going to let Homura go off very easily.  But this certainly looks like the passing of the torch, from Nanoha to Homura, especially with the latter being hungry for even one win. All hell will break loose in this explosive encounter, but in the end, it is finally Homura’s time to shine.

Nazuna (Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb)
Mizukoshi Saki (Natsuiro Kiseki)
Matsumoto Rise (Yuru Yuri♪♪)

It is very likely that Yuru Yuri will rise on top of this match-up.

Noumi Kudryavka (Little Busters!)
Minami Kana (Minami-ke Tadaima)
Sisters (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S)

Kud is geared to show Kana who’s the boss, but stranger things have happened, especially with two other high profile matches in the same day. I doubt the LB ace will get busted this early nonetheless.

Shinomiya Himawari (Vividred Operation)
Fuyuumi Ai (OreShura)
Nishizumi Miho (Girls und Panzer)

Vividred’s best hope against Garupan’s best hope (with Yukari likely eliminated after R1). Miho will not steamroll, but I think there’s enough ammunition to punch through Himawari’s defense.

Kud seems to be doing the best so far today. All the other matches are extremely close. However, it’s been Ai Fuyuumi neck and neck with Miho in the B11 match so far, with Himawari lagging significantly behind.

    Vividred Operation: Overrated.

Getting in late for this one…Nanoha vs. Homura – can someone animate this? Hoping Nanoha can pull one out for old time’s sake. Kud should win her match without a prob. Can the non-Saki Saki pull out a last minute miracle? And someone from VO should move up-front…so to speak.

    MadPanda…(Saimoe ties are outstanding!)…

Homura now leading by 50. Match looks to be over. Miho is leading by 60, and Himawari is still in last place. Doesn’t seem to many fakes this time around without a Saki char in the matches. Kud and Rise are leading by about 20.

Homura has 50+ fakes, Nanoha probably less than 10. Homura should still be leading by at least 20 votes.

The rush will leave no doubt.

Nanoha beating Homura would be the Upset of the Tournament.
