This result is confirmed.
The most anticipated all-Saki match for this round lived up to its billing as Nodoka held off her old comrade to proceed to the next round and seal her place in the record books – 3 from 3 consecutive quarter-final appearances. With this victory, Nodocchi has sent out a warning message to her fellow competitors that she’s still championship material and able to take on anyone on her day. As for Ako, her run comes to an end after several magnificent performances – and she’ll now join Shizu and Arata on the sidelines.
The final day of the Block Finals is bound to be a tasty affair as Shana takes on Sena. The veteran would be hoping to follow in Louise footsteps by qualifying for the QF and obtaining the 3 appearances record, but she faces a far sterner test in the form of Sena. Sena’s the final contestant that’s not affiliated with Saki or KugiRie, so the neutrals might very well be on her side today. However, it is this very factor that the Saki faction might fear, so that could work against her too. Besides, the Saki faction would be more confident that they can take down Shana, haven done that back in 2010. The multi-voting incident that Sena was involved in the first round also has to be taken into account here – there were abnormalities too in the Airi-Shana match in favor of the former, meaning that there could possibly be some crazy Sena fans around. However, Sena still has difficulty garnering the huge votes needed for crucial matches like this – her average votes for R1-R3 is the third lowest amongst the sixteen Block Finalists, so that could end up being her downfall.
Pick: Sena // Prediction: Shana
