Incredible effort by Akari here. Routing opponents is impressive on its own, but even moreso if you do it against a former champion. So a day after Toki puts on a brilliant performance, Akari follows it up with something arguably better, further increasing the hype for their inevitable encounter.

Saki also remains perfect in Round Two as Tacos puts up a romp on her own, putting Cure Beauty to sleep. Curiously, Tacos is also still perfect against non-Saki opponents – her two losses came against Mihoko (2009) and Nodoka (2010).

Predictions: 2-0 (6-0)

Picks: 1-1 (Reika) (4-2)

On Deck:

The clock strikes twelve for Miki in this match. Those who managed to beat Koromo in the Main Draw were eventual finalists, (Yui and Nagi),  so if Miki can pull off another miracle here, then she definitely deserves to be there. I think she used up all her luck in besting Mokkan though, and given the way that Saki is performing in this match, asking for another upset here might be too much.

Mei is set to be another roadblock in the Akari-Toki collision course, but I can see that she’ll challenge Akari harder than Azusa did. Of course, that will be a moot thought if she can’t even get by Minna and Yozora. The matches in this round have been predictable so far though, and I don’t think today’s set will break that trend.

Wow. I thought Yuuki and Akarin would win by 20-30%, not 80 and 70%…

You lost me there. What percentages are you using? With percentage of votes, you can’t win below 33%, and Tacos and Akkariin won by 50% and 60% respectively.

Percentage more votes than 2nd place.

        300/165 = 1.82 = 82% more than second place
        359/209 = 1.72 = 72% more than second place.

Akarin is the good girl this tournament needs and deserves.
