This result is confirmed.

Ishihara Kaori combo pulled through.

Da Kanna actually dominated. This defeat has to sting for Karen. I might have given Kanna too little credit, but yeah, I found it surprising that she ended the match day with the most dominant performance. As for Nisemonogatari, they will have a chance to regroup, but it won’y get any easier… And it shouldn’t be any mystery that Mikoto was unfortunately doomed in this match.

The Denpa Onna collapse is complete, just like that – Ryuushi couldn’t break through Elly. Milky Holmes despite being weaker this year somehow manages to get at least two characters in Round Two. That’s just how it goes. As for Horizon? All is dust, sadly.

Ryuuka-Mugi was closer than I thought it will be, proving that their earlier encounter in the prelims was no aberration. The story in the end was faction superiority. Of course there’s still this subplot of having two Sakis go against the winner of Nadeko-Nyaruko. That would be moot however, should Kuro manage to choke up a match where she is heavily favored. Also noteworthy, Haruna appears to be the first to go from the much vaunted Prelim One, Group One.

Predictions: 2-1 (50-13)

Picks: 2-1 (Horizon) (33-30)

On Deck:

F02: The only thing I’m looking out for here is whether Sera will finish second or third. Yae has this one on the bag.

F06: Idolmaster always gets the interesting matches. This is a real acid test for Haruka. Can she keep it rolling  for the red-hot idols? The biggest adversary here is obviously Ohana, who was spectacular last year… in the prelims. And for some strange reason she folded straight to Haqua and that was the end of the HanaIro story.

I think Ohana will redeem herself at least for one round and stop Haruka and im@s’ momentum along with it. But of course I wouldn’t find it too surprising if Haruka surprises us – if there’s one thing I learned from im@s’ R1 performance, they have this penchant for overcoming most odds. I’m eagerly awaiting how this one unfolds.

F10 – Speaking of Group One, the leader of that pack takes the stage today. What to watch here is how dominant Chitanda will be, in preparation for the more challenging matches ahead. Dalian won’t take no for an answer, but Chitanda has this puzzle solved.

Is there a more recent Saki popularity poll? Want one in preparation for the all Saki finals 😀

Or rather I can’t decide between Kuro – Ryuuka or even know if Toki is really #1 like I hope she is.

Wow, Kanna…wow. Not gonna rage on Mugi-chan’s loss, as it was practically expected. But will give her props for holding her own.

Going with Ohana to defy both factions. Eru’s a no-brainer.

MadPanda…(ignoring the foregone conclusion that is F2–ptoo!-)…
