Ika Musume and LC won.
1 295 Elucia de Lute Ima (Elsie) @ Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai series
2 241 Run @ A Channel
1 390 Ika Musume @ Shinryaku! Ika Musume
2 154 Yuzurizaki Nero @ Tantei Opera Milky Holmes
Well, that was very predictable outcome, which was why I didn’t post a preview yesterday. But Ika Musume certainly styled over the DVD Burner even when it was not really needed, reinforcing her position as one of the top-tier characters in the tournament.
So to compensate for the dull action yesterday, we have two exciting matches today. Firstly, Sayaka vs Charlotte. Well, I don’t need to quote statistics from previous rounds to prove that Sayaka has had the better record. IS has had a disappointing second round, and if there’s to be a fight today, then Charlotte’s supporters must turn up in full force just like they did in her match against Erio. Whatever the outcome is, the results of this match would probably tell us if there’s any resemblance of an anti-Madoka faction that might be starting to form.
Shirayuki vs Yuuko is another interesting match-up. Like I mentioned in my Round 3 preview post, both have been used as part of strategic voting ploys by other factions. As such, their actual strength is unclear, especially for Shirayuki whose vote totals were boosted by being in the same match-day as high-profile contestants for both rounds. Yuuko did manage to beat Nano in Round 2, but her vote total in Round 2 was below 250, which demonstrated A-Channel’s inability to attract the big numbers. The duo of Aria and Shirayuki has been able to do better, as shown below:
R2 Winners-only (Average votes/Average vote %)
Hidan no Aria 286/47.17%
R1 Winners-only (Average votes/Average vote %)
Hidan No Aria 299.5/50.99%
With that in mind, I think Shirayuki will take this one.
Prediction: Sayaka, Shirayuki
frustra’s preview of today’s matches is in next post.
