frustra is MIA huehuehue
So comfortable wins for Kanon and Miyako, while Hitoha had to deal with some competition from Shizuku throughout the day before the result was certain. Also, with Sawako-sensei exiting the competition, this marks the end of K-ON!! representation in this year’s Saimoe. The average vote percentage in R1 for the K-ON!! girls this year is 32.48%, a 13.81% decrease from last year. That’s a somewhat drastic fall, but it’s nothing new: just recall Lucky Star’s performance in 2009.
Moving on, a somewhat low-key affair for today’s match-ups. The two Raildex characters today should be favorites to make it through – Agnese is up against two characters who only qualified via the second prelims, while Kuroko has enough backing to overcome the threat of Hazuki of BakaTest. The duo should be wary of block voting though, but Raildex has a far greater series strength than Softenni and Yosuga no Sora, so it shouldn’t be much of a threat.
Akira vs Haruna could be a tricky one – the former will receive a lil boost from the aforementioned block voting, but I doubt it will be enough to topple Haruna despite Korezom’s poor performance in the tournament so far. Haruna is the ace of the show after all, and she should be able to salvage some pride by making it to Round 2.
Picks: Kazuha, Haruna, Hazuki
Prediction: Agnese, Haruna, Kuroko
