Cecilia Alcott kept Infinite Stratos on a roll as she destroyed MM’s Hiiragi Noa and To Heart’s Yuzuhara Konomi to forge a matchup against Hidan no Aria’s Hotogi Shirayuki and Jewelpets’ Asaka Hinata.

Hidamari Sketch also added two more wins to their growing list of accomplishment, with Hiro defeating To-Love-Ru’s Momo Velia Deviluke and Highschool of the Dead’s Busujima Saeko, and Nori garnering her first Saimoe win at the expense of Gosick’s Avril Bradley and Seitokai no Yakuindomo’s Shichijou Aria. The two wins now puts Hidamari at 25 all-time, overtaking K-On in the process. Hiro is slated to battle Strike Witches’ Miyafuji Yoshika and MM’s Yuuno Arashiko next, while Nori is scheduled to go against Nichijou’s Shinonome Nano and A-Channel’s Yuuko.

First of all, congrats to Hidamari on the milestone! Twenty-five all time wins. One better than K-On because the latter struggled (understatement, much?) this year. Anyway, that amount of wins is a testament to how consistent Hidamari has been through out their five-year run, and Miyako is on an excellent position to help them get to 26 and get to ninth-all time in the series rankings. Of course there was luck involved, but the series took care of business when called upon.

That being said, I totally deserve another loss in the prediction column for not having faith in the Nori-Hiro combo. Hidamari sure demonstrated that veterans can still win (although yeah, it really has to do with the easier matchups). Overestimated Gosick a bit here, I guess. I still believe Victorique is on a different level, however.

As for Cecilia, just as planned? Infi is really getting it together now. Five wins, and only one close loss. Their Round Two matchups are going to be something to look out for, but if they can really keep it going amidst the Prelim performance uncertainties, then kudos to them. Can Cecilia continue this alleged master plan? we’ll find out soon enough.

Predictions: 2-1 (51-21) ; Picks: 2-1 (29-42-1)

Break time, which means chart update time.

Ah, yes, the Main Draw for Manga Saimoe is finally here. Pardon the makeshift bracket for now, I’ll improve on it, slowly but surely. Kudos again to chaosprophet for translation and making things much easier for me.

I won’t likely make an all-out Round One preview on this one (unlike in AST) due to time constraints and priorities. I’ll probably resort to a day-by-day approach to this one.

One last thing: MTG Card of the Day:
