As expected, Feyris was able to clinch the first win of the second preliminary rounds, beating off Hoshizora’s miko, Madoka. The recent episode of S;G that focused on Feyris was probably the factor that made the difference. Shizuku of Kampfer was unable to repeat her performance from last year, but did well enough to finish just behind Miria, the star of the Jewelpet Tinkle series. Aiko’s result today completes the Baka Test schoolgirl contigent for the main round. Meanwhile, the decline continues for the Negima girls, with Setsuna and Asuna failing to qualify for the main round for the first time since their debut back in 2005 (when eligible). Angol Moa was also unable to make it to the main round, and thus her seven year streak comes to an end.
For the next round, the battle for top spot will probably be between Kanade of Fortune Arterial and Tsugiko of Milky Holmes, who were both tied in Group 3, with Koumei of Koihime Musou in the mix too. Outside bets include Minami of Moshidora and Misato of Nichijou, and if 2ch is in a trolling mood, Ruka of Steins;Gate.
