Light of Day

Kirishima Akari from Nyan Koi! punched her ticket to the Main Draw, leading twenty three others as the last prelim group of Anime Saimoe Tournament 2010 concluded Friday. Finishing at second was Akeno Mihoshi from Sora no Manimani, while Lizlet Chelsie and Kanbara Satomi tied for third place. Celty Sturluson from Durarara! complete the top five slots.

Kiyama Harumi from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun nabbed sixth, followed by Naruko Kanae from Mayoi Neko Overrun!, and Isara Gunther from Senjou no Valkyria. Next in line were Ogata Rina from WHITE ALBUM and Sawamura Tomoki of Saki. Eleventh belonged to Angol Moa of Keroro Gunsou. Tied at 12th were Ania Fortuna Somesheru Miku Crowzenbruhi of Asura Cryin’ and Himegami Aisa, also from Railgun.

The rest can be found here.

7-5. Nothing to see here, moving on. lol, seriously.

The draw is actually the main attraction but I don’t have coverage for that yet. Well, at least until later. In any case, I’m quite tired although I managed to complete the charts fast enough before the main draw started.

Oh well, gonna be posting my initial block finals predictions/impressions (which will likely be wrong), and I will go more onto detail later.

Block A: Yuno-(winner of Yui/Nadeko)-Nagi
Block B: Shana-Nanoha-Isumi collision course
Block C: quite messy. it’s basically Hayate vs Saki, and Maria/Uiharu can steal it IF the projected other finalists Tacos and Nodoka end up splitting the votes.
Block D: Kurimu-Koromo-Yamamoto-sensei/Hero
Block E: Tenshi/Yuki/Index-Yamada-Haruhi
Block F: Yui(AB)/Mahiru-Hinagiku/Mafuyu/Saki-Hitagi
Block G: Biribiri-Poplar/Stealth Momo/Ui/Azusa-Mio
Block H: Fate-Fumino-Saten/Mugi

And I’m done for the day/night. zzz and later for a more comprehensive post. also, look in the sidebar for the leaderboard updates, etc.

I don’t like Mafuyu facing Hinagiku in the first round, I like them both and I wanted them both to go far

the random god is evil, isn’t he? well, I hope you’re supporting Hinagiku in that match, because obviously I sure am 😛

son, i am disappont. 😛 kidding aside, she’s perennial Saimoe contender from Hidamari Sketch, since the 2007 heydays of Saimoe. And yeah, that show is a recommended watch. 😀

It makes me sad to know that Hidamari will never get into a Top 8. I will keep praying for surprise upset over Yui and Nagi, along with a Working representative and Angel Beats representative. I’d rather not have a Top 8 fill with past Top 8 contestants and “newcomers” from series that have already been represented in it.

well, never give up hope. Yuno’s a complete underdog in the block finals, but stranger things have happened in Saimoe. admittedly, Hidamari had their chances back in 2007 and 2008, so maybe the window of opportunity has closed, but then again, who really knows?

re: newcomers – i’m quite certain a new face will represent Block E in the quarterfinals.
